Every Penny Counts

Decades ago, people were a little obssessed with collecting pennies. After all, it only took 100 pennies to make a dollar. Today, in any given day on our way to work or school, we pass over 20 pennies lying helplessly on the ground. It's only a penny, we say, and walk right by.

Method to the Madness:

20 pennies a day: Logic...we never worked for it, all we did was just pick it up. Five days a week with 20 pennies a day is already $1.00. If we do this for 5 days a week, we end up with a nice $5.00 bill. Imagine this, an extra $5.00 bill that we did not have to work for. And guess what, there are days when we may be lucky enough to find more than 20 pennies. There are days when we may even find a ten cent coin.

So let's do the simple math: earning 5.00 a week would mean a whopping $20.00 a month! And $20.00 a month for one year would give us $120.00! Put this small sum in a high yield savings account( I know that interest rates are at their lowest right now) and see your money grow. Do this for a few years and you just made yourself some free vacation money!
